Specialty Machines
Laminating LinesEngineered for multi-layer precision
Advanced laminating lines
We engineer advanced laminating lines designed to deliver clean, consistent layer bonding across a wide range of materials and applications — from flexible packaging and technical textiles to automotive interiors and decorative applications. Whether your process involves thermal, pressure-sensitive, or multi-layer lamination, our lines are built for flexibility, durability, and repeatability, with the ability to run in open mode when lamination isn’t required. Each system is engineered for high uptime, minimal waste, and optimal material compatibility – helping you meet complex lamination demands with confidence.
Production Lines
Matthews Engineering laminating systems are designed for low-elongation, wrinkle-free processing with precise web tension and temperature control – ideal for sensitive materials. Known for decades for multilayer lamination expertise, the company develops custom solutions with working widths from 125 mm to 5,400 mm and temperatures up to 200 °C. Systems support high line forces, adjustable nip pressure and optional open operation. Production-related testing in the in-house development center ensures process validation. Features include automatic winders for minimal setup time and inline design changes during operation. Multiple lamination variants (double to sixfold) and combined lines (e.g., lamination with smoothing, embossing, or lacquering) are available. Integrated recipe management and optional splice control software ensure high repeat accuracy and continuous quality monitoring. All lamination forces and geometries are tailored to the customer’s products—from minimal to high-pressure requirements. The result: stable, efficient processes, maximum planning reliability and optimal material utilization across a wide range of applications.
Our laminator ensures defect-free bonding of membranes and layers – supporting efficient, scalable hydrogen fuel cell manufacturing.
