We are committed to resource-efficient processes, energy efficiency and the promotion of renewable energies at our locations worldwide in order to minimize our environmental impact and promote a circular economy.

More than 3 million kilograms less CO₂ (savings of over 65%) and over 2.5 million kWh energy (savings of over 17%) saved at the headquarters in Vreden – Matthews Engineering sets standards for sustainable technologies and innovations.

Our measures:

100 % certified green electricity (HKN NEU 100) at all locations from 2025.
We have our own solar energy plants.
Switch to energy-efficient heating systems.
ISO 50001 – Introduction of an energy management system for continuous optimization.
Switching to LED systems and motion sensors worldwide.
ISO 14001 – Introduction of an environmental management system for continuous optimization.

Our company is committed to high safety standards in order to minimize accidents and health risks. For example, all workplaces are equipped with state-of-the-art safety technology, and all safety-related equipment and systems are regularly inspected and maintained.
